Take Time To Revive

I will not promise, but I will try to make an extra time to make updates here maybe monthly, if not weekly. I will see to it that this is being taken care of. I want people around the world will know what we are doing here in Thailand especially our christian friends. Please bear with me and continue to pray for our ministry here.

Here's some pictures we had from our last Christmas party at one of the nearby community.

Camera Fun

The kids love playing around with the camera!

School's Out Soon (March 10th, 2013)

Almost There!

As the end of the school term gets closer, the older girls come to the Rock looking tired...and determined to finish thier homework to perfection! Out of the backpacks come the notebooks, pens, pencils, erasers and rulers. Unlike thier usual noisiness, there is total silence as they become absorbed in thier work. Once the school break comes, they will have plenty of free time. Please pray that they will grow more in Christ as we spend more time together studying the Bible. Let this be the summer of freedom in more ways than one!

 Food for Thought...

So many kids around the world have things in common. Hair styles, music, clothes, movies...and of course, who hasn't complained about homework? But a lot of the kids in Thailand do not have the opportunity to go to school. It's a blessing to watch these girls hard at thier work.

Scholarship Granted

It was a heart full of joy to share God's love to others. Last week, we went to a public school with the young girl desiring to continue her study in high school. She stopped last year because of financial insufficiency in their family. Her mom left her to her sister and her sister has three kids that goes to school too.She really wants to go to school and her dreams to finish.
We paid her one year tuition in school and other miscellaneous needed in school. Our prayer that God will be with her. We pray that through this, there will be transformation in her life. Through this, people will see that there is hope in Jesus.
Her name is Soraya... Please pray that through her life other will have hope too.
Join us in prayer that God will really show mercy and compassion in the lives of the kids in the slum area. They need hope. They need light.. They need a brighter future. We can help them through a little amount of love and passion for them. Extend you love to them.. There are still a lot of kids need to be cater to go to school. Christians be part of it.. Pray for them..

A Little Help was Shared

During a short term exposure of a team from Malaysia, they saw kids go to the Rock everyday walking barefooted. They were moved and God touched their hearts to share a little amount to buy some shoes for these kids.

Last week we started to distribute some to the shoes and they were so happy while receiving a little blessing. It was so precious to them the little thing we shared. They want to say thank you to those who shared love to them.

Last Month at a Glance...October 2011

At this time last year, The Rock was being painted with a fresh coat of paint...just a few days before Hatyai was hit by a surprise flood that swept away a lot of shack-homes, furniture, food, TV sets, motorcycles and even a few stray cows (May they rest in peace). Though the city has returned to normal, as the rainy season rolls around again, everybody has been watching the sky suspiciously.
At Baansila, we have begun peeling the moldy spots of paint from the wall. Some of it was already bubbling and falling off like gritty snowflakes, but the rest of the job took almost 5 days worth of chipping away with paint scrapers. Thanks to the help of our friends and the kids, the wall is clean and clear! We can start re-painting it....just as soon as we are sure it won't flood this year.

Short Team Visit

A 4 day visit of a team from other training organization maybe not enough but what they saw and experienced were an eye opener for them. I belive the time they spent with us become an encouragement to them. They said that was their first time to be with these kind of kids.. They gave a bath to the kids, cut their finger nails. The love of God was been expressed in their lives with the kids lives. Two afternoons we spent time with the kids also in the open field wherein we can play games with them.

A Prayer for November

Please say a prayer for Baansila!

o For the kid's hearts to be open, to be transformed

o For the Community to be interested in hearing God's Word

o For the upcoming activity
(Dec. 10th is the End-of-the-Year/Christmas Party!)

o For Volunteers

o For a Tuk-Tuk or a Car
(so we can pick up all the kids- now there are too many of them to sit on the motorcycle!)

Welcome To Baansila (The Rock)

Welcome to Baansila. In this building, we offer the kids a place where they can learn, draw pictures, color with crayons, do puzzles, play Yang (Jump rope), ride bikes. But in Baansila, the kids day-to-day life is building responsibility – they are learning to wash their own dishes, hang their own clean laundry, or sweep and mop- though it may not sound like it, these things are as important to the kids as playing. And the staff? We are there for them in everything they do; we cook, bathe, clothe and supply the band-aids, whether the wound is on the outside or the inside. Please pray for us as the kids continue to grow and change daily. Through this blog, we invite you to see how the love of God is changing the hearts of the kids and the community.

A Little Help was Shared

During the short term exposure of a team from Malaysia, they were moved with compassion seeing the kids go to the Rock everyday barefooted. The following day they told us they want to share a little amount to buy shoes for these kids. We bought more than 30 pairs of shoes.
Last Saturday we started to distribute some to the kids who came to the Rock. They gladly received this little act of love and kindness that was shared to them. This is so precious to them as you can see their smiles while receiving it.

Short Term Team Exposure...

I think it is really a blessing to have networking in the ministry. We were blessed, even it was a short visit there were team visited us and minister with the kids at the Rock. Eventhough language is a great barrier but it was absolutely God's hand it at work. We had an out door games with the kids for two afternoons and the kids enjoyed it. There were about 20 kids came during our outdoor activity. The team also take the opportunity to show the Love of God to the kids as they were the one took the kids a shower, clothed them, treating the lice and cleaning the kids fingernails. One of the team member was so tired of carrying the 3 or 4 year old girl because this little girl want to be carried by this lady. The kids at the Rock really longed to be loved and taken care of. We are praying that more volunteers may come and join with us in this ministry.

Community Seed Project...

We are now on our third month since we open the ministry at The Rock. Last two months we've been busy on setting up things at The Rock like, kitchen stuffs, The Ark stuff, things we think very important. Then we had also a two weeks rest last December.

So this month we started to be in the village. As what we told the community the last time we visited them that we will conduct a livelihood program, so we did what we had promised. Last week we gather them and teach them how to make fertilizer using over ripe fruits or the wastes of the peeled fruits. The one that they make can be use also for cleaning the toilets, dogs and chicken lice.
