Scholarship Granted

It was a heart full of joy to share God's love to others. Last week, we went to a public school with the young girl desiring to continue her study in high school. She stopped last year because of financial insufficiency in their family. Her mom left her to her sister and her sister has three kids that goes to school too.She really wants to go to school and her dreams to finish.
We paid her one year tuition in school and other miscellaneous needed in school. Our prayer that God will be with her. We pray that through this, there will be transformation in her life. Through this, people will see that there is hope in Jesus.
Her name is Soraya... Please pray that through her life other will have hope too.
Join us in prayer that God will really show mercy and compassion in the lives of the kids in the slum area. They need hope. They need light.. They need a brighter future. We can help them through a little amount of love and passion for them. Extend you love to them.. There are still a lot of kids need to be cater to go to school. Christians be part of it.. Pray for them..

A Little Help was Shared

During a short term exposure of a team from Malaysia, they saw kids go to the Rock everyday walking barefooted. They were moved and God touched their hearts to share a little amount to buy some shoes for these kids.

Last week we started to distribute some to the shoes and they were so happy while receiving a little blessing. It was so precious to them the little thing we shared. They want to say thank you to those who shared love to them.

Last Month at a Glance...October 2011

At this time last year, The Rock was being painted with a fresh coat of paint...just a few days before Hatyai was hit by a surprise flood that swept away a lot of shack-homes, furniture, food, TV sets, motorcycles and even a few stray cows (May they rest in peace). Though the city has returned to normal, as the rainy season rolls around again, everybody has been watching the sky suspiciously.
At Baansila, we have begun peeling the moldy spots of paint from the wall. Some of it was already bubbling and falling off like gritty snowflakes, but the rest of the job took almost 5 days worth of chipping away with paint scrapers. Thanks to the help of our friends and the kids, the wall is clean and clear! We can start re-painting it....just as soon as we are sure it won't flood this year.
